For nearly eighteen years, Kristen Soltis Anderson has been at the forefront of the evolving field of public opinion research. Having conducted opinion research for many corporations, trade associations, nonprofits and political clients, Kristen brings significant experience as well as fresh perspective to the polling world.
Her firm, Echelon Insights, was founded in 2014 to blend the field of data analytics and digital intelligence with the quantitative and qualitative practices of opinion research. Co-founded with Patrick Ruffini, Echelon soon made a name for itself as an award-winning polling and analytics shop, and continues to provide insights to a wide range of clients.
In 2019, Echelon Insights won two Pollie Awards for its work in analytics and fundraising, and won Campaigns and Elections’ Reed Award for Innovation in Polling. Kristen and her business partner Patrick Ruffini were named to Washingtonian magazine’s “100 Tech Titans” list in 2015. She has been proud to poll for companies and organizations such as the Walton Family Foundation, Spotify, The Aspen Institute, and many more.
In particular, Kristen focuses on how to best use new online research tools in an era of declining telephone survey response rates, and is one of the foremost experts on key audiences such as the Millennial generation.
